In my opinion it is the first of many to come, how many different configurations of those old trusties that are out there for the 30, 338, 375, 458 calibers and so on, it seems it is the gun manufacturers way of creating demand since most rifles will last several life times as can be seen in the classic doubles. Imagine owning a gun shop, what ammo would you stock????? NRA Life Member, ILL Rifle Assoc Life Member, Navy

Which do you like best, the pistol grip or the straight stock? On the way back from the range today, I stopped at the gun shop and ordered a blued, pistol grip take down in .450 Marlin. I had to leave my wonderful little Marlin 45-70 behind. It has a crack in the forend. Damn! I called Marlin myself... and it is, sad, but true. That said, dead for now is what I say. I believe they will make some special runs... I am hoping for a 26-28 inch octagon barrel, buffalo hunter style 450M with a ladder style peep site. Yea, that’s the ticket.

I called Marlin too. Temmi is right. According to Marlin, it has been discontinued. Crap, and I just bought a BLR in 450 Marlin. Just went to Midway and ordered 50 more rounds of brass. Hope Hornady keeps turning it out.
