Just ordered it today a stainless BLR in this 270 wsm caliber.I have always wanted a BLR to go along with my WIN95 405 WCF.My gundealers supply man had some BLR`S left over from last year only in 7mm wsm and 270 wsm,I don`t know much about these wsm calibers but I opted for the 270 wsmbased on my gunsmith`s reccomendation. If it will do what a 270 win. will do in a short astion I`ll be pleased.Any body have and favorite loads or factory preferences for the 270 wsm? And any insights to the BLR in general?Tis is my first time to have one. Can`t wat for it to get in and have a shot off with my Win95 405 wcf. They should cover all my hunting needs big or small.

I don,t mind at all.My local gun dealer here in Alabama found mine in Atlanta GA. at a whole seller he knew.He only had a few of the stainless BLR`s left over from the 2004 production run.He told my guy that he would let me have it for $770.00 plus tax.Afer my gun dealer had it FED EXed to Bama and did all the paper work I gave him $800.00 cash total.

No problem,I really lile the fit and finish on this gun.Plus it`s stainless with good open sights,It has one of them fber optic beads one the front that really shows up well,At least to my 44 year old eyes!Need to locate some sort of scope detach mounts to put my Leupold 1.75x6x32mm Vari-x 3 on it but still be able to take it off and use the open sights.I still have not decided on a load for it. UPDATE on my BLR 270 WSM,I have ran into a problem with my new blr.I was cleaning the rifle and working the lever and the bolt started dragging on the hammer, opening and closing, and would pull on the hammer so hard on closing the lever to load another round that the hammer fell on the firing pin with out me touching the trigger!Tis is my 1st time with a BLR but not my 1st lever-action,I have never had this happen with any Marlin or Winchester I have ever owned. What is causing this problem?
