I have a BLR in 300 mag. It has the hammer safety that pushes forward. The rifle has miss fired several times on me. The gunsmith sayes everything is good but a rifle that fails to fire when I want it to is not good in my world. Anyone else with this problem and what do I do????

The older BLR's had a floating firing pin. It depended on inertia to fire (firing pin not resting on the primer with the hammer down). The new model may be the same. Inside the bolt might need to be cleaned. But did the firing pin dent the primer? Might be headspace.
