Hey guys, what do you think about this rifle? THere are two over on auction arms and i am really interested. It looks pretty nice, and is in an effective caliber, .30-30. It has a 26" barrel and a full length stock, and has musket sights. It is top eject. Thanks.

I have had one for many years. Had it rebored to .38-55 and still hunt with it occasionally. A very lightweight easy to carry rifle, effective for me on close range whitetail. I've always used a lyman peep. I never shot it in 30 wcf. The receiver may flake blueing, it is loose and rattles if the lever isn't held, the trigger was factory ok, the rear musket sight is crap. Overall, a pretty good rifle. ned
