If you want to you can go to www.georgia-arms.com and
get their new loaded ammo for .444Marlin. They stock the 270 gr JFP @2200fps and their cost is very affordable at $17.99 per 20 rounds.

The factory loaded ammo will work fine for deer hunting as well. I would steer clear of the 240gr Remington load. Your 444 will be more useful and dependable with the 265-280gr loads.

You might also consider adding a Decelerator recoil pad fitted to your length of pull and use the factory pad as a backup block for hammering out body work.
