I picked up a Win 94 the other day in terrific shape EXCEPT that someone had the two pieces at the takedown component welded together.
Does that make sense?
Here is a photo of a takedown. Mine is similar and this is the area where the two parts are welded together. Anyone know where to buy a replacement part or someone that can remove the welds and restore the parts?

It can be done. It depends how deep the weld goes id you can use the parts over. TO find another TD part will be hard to find. They welded it because the threads are worn and the fornt end is loose and was fis\xed the wrong way. Unless the guns is real valuable and "rare" I woul leave it as is and go buy another gun that is in better shape and do work if you need on the new one. IMO

I tend to use more than enough gun.

Thanks Doug. I will take that as a definitive answer and simply enjoy shooting it.
