My gunsmith just is too back-logged. My BLR trigger (like so many others) is too stiff & has too much creep. Any recommendations? Eastern PA would be nice, but I'll ship it if I need to...
Never owned a BLR, but have heard ---- never take one apart as they are extremely difficult to put back together. thus the reason (I think) no gunsmith specializes in them.

There was a gunsmith, I think there in PA that does browning boltguns, maybe he would do a BLR. I belive his name was Jones, you will have to do a search.
Thanks, guys. I got a PM on a few other possibles as well...
I contacted Neil Jones, he sounds like the right man for the job. He's designed & made tools/parts specifically for those notoriously sloppy BLR triggers & gets the triggers fairly crisp at about 2 1/2 lbs. pull. My BLR action is on its way to him.
I just got my BLR back from Neil Jones in Saegertown Pa. Fair price & quick turnaround. And what a smooth, slick trigger ! Just under 3 pounds. Most of my bolt gins don't have such a smooth trigger!
In Reply To Comment: have heard ---- never take one apart as they are extremely difficult to put back together. I have not disassembled a BLR but expect that it is very close to identical to the Win. Model 71, and the same comment has been made about the Win 71. I have disassembled/reassembled several Win 71s and found that the challenge is reassembling the trigger parts. The simple truth is that you just need to use a piece if scotch or masking tape to hold pieces together while assembling. If you have any mechanical aptitude at all, you can reassemble without getting into trouble.
