Anybody use the XS (Ashley) Scout scope base?
How do you like it?
I am thinking about putting one on my Marlin 1895.

I've got one on my GG and it works great. Easy to install and seems to be a quality piece of work.

Used Warne quick release rings and a Leupold 1.5X pistol scope. Lately my sons have been shooting it more than me using the WWG peep sight with the scope removed. The XS base is well out of the way and causes no problems.

I have it and like it. Kind of bulky compared to the WWG version but cheaper and easier to mount because it doesn't require drilling and tapping. I think there is one on Ebay right now going pretty cheap (not mine!).
