Hello I enjoy shooting handguns revolvers single and double action, and pistols D/S with firing pins and hammers and good stuff like that I'm used to. However, I recently purchased striker fired pistols and can't shoot worth a darn. is there some trick to firing a handgun that is striker fired. Everything wants to fall to the left of P.O.A. I don't have this trouble with any other handgun. both the 9 and the 40 do this. What am I doing wrong? Dick

because of the heavy trigger pull it forced you to pull away from the target point- think - single action

Keep working on your trigger pull that should help a ton, but in my opinion the striker fired is just a bit harder to shoot so personally I lower my standards a bit.

Thanks but maybe I should have been a little clearer. I shoot both a 40 and a 9 (striker fired) and in both cases they group okay but to the left of the aim point, I am right handed. in the case of the nine I adjusted to the max and am still left. Because of the weather I have had limited shooting with the 40. In talking to the company of origin I was told I have "limp wrist" problems whatever that means shooting wise.

Dick, do the guns group in the same way from a rest? Are they Glocks, if so you can get and install a 3.5 trigger which might help if the problem is the weight of the trigger pull. Striker vs hammer has nothing to do with it !! Handguns are sensitive to the positioning of the gun in the hand. That's why for multiple shots the gun shouldn't move in the hand !! Some of the newer guns have interchangeble grip pieces which can be chosen for best fit . The trigger ,width, texture pull weight can make a big difference too.Pull the trigger straight back !
