This will be short. I tested these three types of Aguila ammo today. In had more failures to fire that I have had in I can't remember when. It is fairly accurate; however, with so many failures, it is hard to judge. It changes your position, hold, etc. I will try the pistol in some target pistols I have, and try to use the remainder in bolt guns. It is dreck in my 10/22. Kudude PS: Based upon my experience so far, the best buy for the money in 22 ammo is Wolf target and its twin, SK standard. This stuff is really good. I shot several groups that were 1/4" at 25yds. PPS: Even though magnification above 28 is pretty unusable in the BSA, the higher mag makes it easier to use than my Leupold. I find that the BSA adjustments are good and it holds a setting well. k-d

Interesting. I recently tested both Aguila SX and Match Pistol in both my Rem 513T and Colt Woodsman Match Target. Accuracy was good -- not great -- in both guns and I had no feed or ignition problems in the Woodsman which can be quite finicky. I also tested PMC 40gr standard velocity ammo in the same fashion and found it to be somewhat more accurate as the Aguila and just as reliable. It's also made in Mexico. Bud W

Bud, I did a test the other day with Aguila match pistol too. I fired a number of groups on a pretty windy day that ran under .30 inch at 25yds. I had no problems with the pistol match and a few problems the subsonic with extraction or ejection in the rifle on which I have rounded/radiused the back end of the bolt. On the rifle which I have not modified the bolt, I had regular problems with Aguila sub sonic, and occasional problems with the match pistol ammo. I will see shortly how it stacks up to Wolf/SK, which for my pocket book, is the gold (pardon the financial pun) standard. My sense is that it is capable of virtually the same accuracy, but not the same reliability. Kudude

Kudude I think we're searching for the same thing ... accuracy & reliability at a decent price. My 513T will digest anything and provide good groups with most but my problem is the Woodsman; it's a very accurate piece but does NOT like Eley or Rem Subsonic, but seems happier with Fiocchi, CCI HV & SV, PMC MP and Win T22 Target. I just bought 1000 PMC MP for $50 so I will be testing that for some time. Once the weather warms up, I'll go outdoors and try it at 100yds. Whatever I find, I'll post here. Bud
