Browning 52C Sporter topped with a Minox 4.5x14 SF BDC scope (purchased from gr8fuldoug at Cameraland NY). Trigger adjusted to 3#, no other modifications. The rifle has what I would mostly term target accuracy rather than match accuracy.
I shoot 5 shots with the different smmo to reseason the barrel with the "secret sauce" lubricant on that bullet, then fire 5 shots for group.
Temperature 80 degrees Farenheit. Wind gusting from right to left @3-12 mph. Wind picked up as I was shooting and the range flag was snapping smartly.
50 yards: 5 shot groups, center to center
Federal HV Match.........2"
Federal Target...........1 3/4"
Lapua Midas M............1 1/2"
SK Standard Plus...........247"
Ammo makes all the difference!!!!
I then shot the SK Standard Plus for group at 100 yards. The wind was really picking up (this is Kansas, remember) so I shot only four shots.
100 yards: 4 shots, center to center
.347" horizontal, @ ,12" vertical.
Next time out, I'll shoot some Federal Ultramatch and Federal Gold Medal and see how these brands perform.

Will look for the Federals. However I have so many types of ,22 ammo now, I'll probably just use the SK Standard Plus in the Browning.
My Steyr Zephyr likes, of all things, PMC target and Aguila Standard Velocity.
Glad my most used and most accurate .22 rifles have cheap tastes.

I tried every type of Federal target or Match ammo in my cz. Then I tried SK Std plus. Wow what a difference. I went from shooting Inch to Inch and a quarter groups down to 1/2 inch with even a 3/8 or 1/4 group. Its great stuff. Let me know how it does after you run a hundred or so through it. DW

Most of my 22s like the Federal Automatch. Haven't shot all my guns yet with them but at this point I have confidence it will work well. Some of my 10-22s have been picky but since I bought ten boxes of Automatch they all just go bang. I have trouble with the cheap 550 boxes of most ammo in the 10-22s.

I'm about to test 21 brands of ammo in my 77/22 to see which brand it likes best. I'm going to start with all of them being standard velocity.
I'm wondering if I should clean the bore every so many firings. I'd jus pull a bore snake thru it.
Thoughts~?

Try some Norma Tac-22. I was fairly pleased with how it grouped thru my Win 1885 the first time I took that rifle out.
