I recently dug my model 06 out of the safe and threaded it for one of my 22lr silencers. I bought it used at a gun store ten years ago. It has little collector value due to the new barrel, but it is a fun gun to shoot. My eyes are not what they used to be, so using the small sights with the wide open V in back is difficult. I want to keep the rifle looking somewhat "period", so I would like to put a vintage rimfire scope on it. Can anyone point me in the right drection? ![]() The silencer is not very authentic for the period, but I intend to make (on ATF form 1) an offset silencer that is more like the early Maxims. I found this old scope on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-We...&hash=item3a6795b199 Still have to figure out how to mount it though.
