I have a Ruger M77 in the 17HMR caliber and was wanting to get a M77 22WMR, I am going to order a stock and a bull barrel for the 17 and was thinking about getting a 22WMR barrel at the same time and just switch them out, can I do this?

Is there any other modifications that need to be done to it to make it work?

If yours is the wedge locked barrel not the threaded one that will work- I bought a 77-17 VHBZ in 17HMR and found a take off factory 22WMR barrel so the factory stock channel would work. About 10/15 min. to swap.
