I recently acquired a Erma EM1 rifle and the operating slide broke. This was also imported by Iver Johnson as the M1 Carbine 22 in the 80's. Any suggestions on where one might find a replacement slide? I have tried all of the usual places as well as some off the wall p[laces and no luck. Numerich lists it as out of stock and when I called they said they had no source for the part. A good smith who could make one would even be an option.

Thanks.

Sorry to get your hopes up as I'm of no help. Did look up the drawing though, that appears to be a complicated part! Any chance of repairing it? Silver brazing or welding? Is it steel or some lightweith metal?

Reason I was interested is because if this is the same rifle Sears used to sell back in the early seventies I sure did want one as kid! Good luck, at worst I've bumped your question abck to the top so maybe someone "helpful" will see it! beer

Bob's doesn't have it. I wasn't familiar with Lee's or Gun Garage, I will check them out. Thanks for the info.
