Has anyone used any of the scopes claiming to have accurate bullet drop reticles for the .22 Long Rifle ammo? Do they work accurately? The new Cabela's Shooting and Relaoding catalog lists two scopes made for this caliber's bullet drop out to 150 yds. are the Burris and the Cabela's Tactical scope with interchangeable turrets for several rim fire rounds. Thoughts??

i bought one a bit ago (it was on sale cheap) the accuracy at 100 yards was off by about 4-5", good scope on a 22, just kinda worthless if you're buying it for the drop compensator

I have one of the BSA Sweet 22 scopes on a 77/22. The price wasn't too bad so I figured "why not". It stays in line and the adjustments seem to stay fairly consistent. That is, I shoot at p-dogs out to 300 plus (note the shoot at) but occasionally score a hit at this distance. The scope seems just fine for the price. The turret only goes out to 175 or something like that, but I range tested at further distances and simply put a piece of surgeons tape on the turret marked with the longer distances. I say go for it!

I have a BSA Sweet 17 on my Savage 17HMR bolt gun. It is very sharp and clear, allowing me to see a fly on the wall of a building about 60 yards away. I know it was a fly because it moved as I watched it.

I took the gun out to where I shoot and shot 8 or 9 rounds into an area 5/8" square, and in a pretty good crossing breeze. It was rested on a simple piece of 4" foam rubber across the hood of my old pick-up. Not the best rest and not the best conditions, but the little round delivered excellent accuracy and the scope helped me do it.
