I'm considering buying one of these in what is called Superior II grade, which basically seems like a nice solid little rifle with a half way decent walnut stock for a relatively cheap price? Has anyone had any experience with these? How accurate was it out of the box?

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

I bought one before Chares Daly was importing them and have been very pleased with most of the gun. I had the front sight removed, there is a dove tail cut in the barell for the sight, and then recrowned the barell after some loss of length by cutting the barell just behind the dove tail cut. But in a .22lr no big deal to lose a few inches of barell. The gunsmith that did the work remarked on how hard the steel was in the barell and guessed that the accuracy would be good. The blueing on the barell was outstanding and after adjusting the trigger way down it was off to shoot. The accruacy with the changes made above were very good with groups at 70 yards staying under 1" with standard velocity CCI ammo. I had a HTG supressor put on it and it actually increased the velocity slightly and the accruacy remained the same after adjusting the scope. The sound with the Universal HTG can makes people giggle when they shoot it as there is no action clacking noise. The only drawback of the rifle was the horrible checking done on the stock. It looks like it was done at night with a broken bycycle spoke, however, it is not deep and could be worked on or out. Overall I am very pleased with the overall product for the price paid and absent the checking have a handsome rifle to add to the collection.

I thought about picking one up myself . I am assuming your buying it from CDNN. I looked the remington model 5 over at Dicks sporting goods and I can't imagine why I would spend 100 dollars more on the Remington when the Daly is the same thing. Sounds like a great buy
