I am about completed on my Win. M-63 auto..I have owned it for a number of years and always wanted to make a full blown custom out of it.

I has been adorned with a quarter rib, barrel band swivel, barrel band front sight. The quarter rib will take a QD talley peep sight or my 2.5X Leupold Alaskan 7/8" tube scope in Talley rings...I has a exhibition piece of Russian walnut, cresent butt plate, egg cheek piece and checkered 26 L.P.I. with mullered borders.

I will complete the checkering after my eye surgery this month and have the rifle rust blued...

After years of contemplation, I finally did it and the result is pleasing to say the least, and it shoots 1" at 75 yards.

I have two M-63s and I may just make another.

Ray,

How could you possibly post the description of this rifle, and then not post pictures? Do you have no sympathy for those of us who might need to drool over it.

Sounds terrific, but sure would be nice to see a couple pictures of it.

I was thinking the same but then noticed he hasn't finished it off yet. Sounds like one of his grandkids could take it to Africa?

I had to send the stock off to be checkered as I have cateracts and can't see very well...I had one fixed last week and the other will get fixed next week, so all my gun projects are on hold, I just got to where I could not checker or do much of anything...I sent the finished stocks to Bernadette Peters to checker while I heel up and hair over..

I can't post on these forms but I would be glad to send anyone a picture to their email..I have pictures of the metal work and the stock blank in my email file. I will photograph it when its been blued and I get the stocks back from Bernie. I just couldn't wait to heal up and hair over, I want it now! clap
