I seem to remember seeing a small plate that installed above the trigger assembly in the mark II .22's. the purpose was to keep the grit out of the trigger assembly. does anyone have one of these, and what do you think? also, i can no longer find it if anyone can lead me in the right direction. i got the new gun itch but i can't really afford one, so i figured a vqtzn accurizing kit and new sights for the ruger would settle it for now. was wanting to try the cleaner plate while i had everything apart. thanks.

The best part of the accurizing kit is the replacement sear, which drops the trigger pull from about 4-1/2# to 2-1/2#. An adjustable trigger with over travel,pre-travel adjustment is nice. If you are looking at sights, you might consider a red dot. I have been using a cheap BSA for some time for informal shooting/plinking, and like it. http://www.rimfiresports.com/
