I have been using a friend's mil-dot Sightron scope on a 22LR for erradication of an infestation of rodents. I keep the gun set at 6X and rarely use any other power. Shots are from 35-150 yards.

What economy scope with mil-dot reticles would you suggest ?

I suggest you post that question over at www.rimfirecentral.com and also search the posts already there.

Mueller Optics look cool, but the models I would need are too large a scope.

I don't know of any economy scopes with Mil-Dot reticles. Lots of economy scopes but I can't think of any with the dots.

Tasco makes two scopes with mil dots. 2.5-10x42 and 6-24x42mm. Both have target knobs and adjustable objectives. I have two of the 6-24x42 and eight of the 2.5-10x42 almost all of them mounted on 22's. A friend of mine mounted one of the 2.5-10x42 on his savage 210F in 12gage and it holdes its point of inpact. About $60.00 for the 2.5-10x42,and $70.00 for the 6-24x42. Doc Highwall.

I put a 2.5-10 Tasco on my flattop AR15 and it's proceeded to shame the performance of some of my buddies much more expensive scopes. I've made hits out to 600 yards on steel plates consistantly.

I'd give the Tasco thumb thumb thumb
