E-Mail to BSABought a scope (Huntsman 6-24x40ADJ OBJ(N) when I mounted it I found that the power adjutment did not work. The adjusting ring turns fine the powe, however , does not change. I want to return it under warranty at no cost to me. Are there any special instructions? I tried calling three times and got put on hold forever. I have a number of BSA scopes and this is the first one I've had any real problem with. I hope it is just a quirk and not a generallity. Roger J. Bartsche E-Mail replie We are sorry to hear that this has happened to you. It definitely sounds as if the optic may be broken. If this is a resent purchase within the last 30 days you may want to try to take the item back to the store you purchased it from for a quick exchange or credit as turn-a-round time with us is 2-6weeks.Unfortunately, there is nothing you are going to be able to do from home as the internal lenses are compressed with nitrogen. However to get your scope repaired or replaced under warranty, please review the warranty information and shipping address below so that we can repair the item for you in a timely manner. What you will need to send in with your scope is a copy of your purchase receipt and a check or money order for $10.00 to cover the cost of the return shipping. The rest is as follows; if you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reciprocate by phone or via e-mail response. Thank You, BSA Optics Customer Service Tel:954-581-2144 Fax:954-581-3165 The original instruction was " Do not return it to the store A letter, shipping papers (receipt) and the scope were sent to BSA with a copy of the letter to Natchez explaining that as far as I was concerned the repair or replacement of the scope was the resposibilty of BSA and that I would not pay their $10.00 exstortion fee and expected them to refund to me the cost of shipping the scope to them.I told them I wouldn't charge them any handeling fees. So far the letter has not been answered by BSA or Natchez Intend to post replies, if any, whither positive or negative. Ran into the same treatment with BARSKA a while back. It really is gauling how people can sell defective equipment and than exspect the buyer to incurr the costs associated with the repair or replacement. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Completely agree. One of the relatively inexpensive Millett scopes I've been testing ended up with a very small piece, of what appeared to be, gasket material stuck to the inside of the rear Eye Piece. It was very small and would not have ruined a Hunt, but it was a minor distraction. I contacted them and their Customer Service told me to ship it back to them, at my expense, they would fix or replace it at no cost to me and return it at no cost to me. I've had 2-Leupolds with minor problems over the years and that was the exact same way they handled it. I asked the guy if the Replacement Scope ended up having a problem if I'd have to pay to have it returned. He told me if that happened, they would pay for the Return to them, Replacement and Return Shipping to me. I don't remember what it cost me to send the Millett back to them, but I feel sure it was under $20. The scope was $150 - when I bought it - and the Twilight clarity is as good as the Leupold VariX-IIIs which I have a bunch of. So far this Replacement has not shown any indication that it will ever have a problem and it arrived in less than 2-weeks of when I sent the old one in. Plus, it is Illuminated and if anyone can find an Illuminated Leupold anywhere near $150, let me in on it. When I look at the "overall" cost of the initial Illuminated Millett Purchase and the Return Cost, I'm still w-a-y ahead of getting another Leupold.

A defective BSA scope!!!!!!! I've never heard of such a thing! Except the 4 I've used and returned. No more for me! I did have one that lasted almost 6 months ( does that count as defective or just end-of-life? ). I've had better service from using air rifle scopes on my 22's! Shovel ready..... but hangin' on

Finally!!! Sent the scope to BSA for repair and shipping on their nickle. Their reply was as exspected. Even though the scope was defective out of the box a $10.00 charge and cost for one way shipping was mine with no gaurantee that when I got the scope back it would be in working order. As far as i'm concerned they can use that scope for a dildoo. roger I most hardily recommend Bsa scopes to you all! NOT roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! From postings here and on other sites "defective BSA" is redundant.

Have to agree w/poor quality of BSA scopes. Won't buy another one. Also, I won't buy one that LOOKS like a BSA. There aren't that many scope manufacturers - just change the names or logos, not the scope body or internals. Surprised that Natchez wasn't more help. They've always been willing to work w/me. Midway seems the best when it comes to solving problems. Great folks to work with. Mike Si vis pacem... parabellum
