Rem 512 Trigger Work???

I have an old beater Mod 512 that I dearly love but the trigger is terrible. My local 'smith won't touch it. Anyone know whether on not it can be adjusted -- I'd settle for a 4-lb pull.

Me, too. We have a couple of 510s, and a 513T. Easier to get a Marlin 60 done. I watched a boy scout rifle coach stone a 510 trigger once, looked like he knew what to do.
