Mopane,

That's a fine little scope you're looking for there. If you find two of them, drop me a PM.

These have actually gone up in price. Most internet sites sell them for $349.99 now. But they come with free shipping & your choice of a list of items (rings/bases, scope covers, etc..)

In some cases, I prefer to buy brand new. Since this is a scope I buy often (usually gloss though), I set my limit for used at $300 shipped. Once in awhile you'll get lucky and find one for less. But not often...they're very popular.

ps. The one on rimfirecentral sold right away.

Take a look a Shepherd Scopes they make one just for the 22lr. I have one on my M57 Cooper. Check out their web site or Cabelas and you will see what the retical looks like. Zeros every 50yds to 450yds. I have used mine to 300yds.3-10x40mm AO

Don't know if you want more magnification. But a Weaver Grand Slam is nice on an Anschutz. 4.5-14x or 6.5-20x might work on that 22 Mag. Price for a new one is not much different than the used Leupold you are considering.

Optical quality is about the same. And yes, I have had both on hand to try out.
