I am looking to replace a rifle stolen many years ago. It was the first rifle I bought new and was not a hand-me-down from my brother. The rifle was a Glenfield Model 20 bolt action 22 with a squirrel holding an acorn on the stock. I have recently purchased one but it was a 1971 model with a chipmunk(?) instead of the squirrel. I bought the gun in 1976. The serial number would start with a 24. If anyone has one in good condition or knows where to get one, I would be willing to pay way too much. contact me at shartford@sbcglobal.net if you can help. Thanks for reading this, Scott

I think it is a Woodchuck on yours. I had ones years ago too and sold it. Wish I still had it.
Good luck in your search!

So you have one now but just the wrong stock? Try giving numrich arms a call and see if they have a proper stock with the squirrel on it, would that work for you?

for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

I can understand why you are looking for one. I have one and it's superbly accurate. I got mine for christmas back in the early 70's. Still wears the weaver d4 I bought for it just after christmas that year. I love my glenfield model 20 so much that's why my screen name is model20. I hope you find another one for yourself.
