If you're buying it for a fun, using rifle, I'd strongly suggest getting an original Winchester 62(A). With a bit of shopping you can find one for less than $500 in very decent shape, hopefully less. Remember these were used in the Carnie shooting games and often went a million rounds with no problems. Just a super quality fun rifle but basically just open sights unless you find one with a scope plate on it which would make it much cheaper. I've got the Taurus copies as well, and while they're decent, they don't lock up like a bank vault like the 62s, but if money is a consideration you can find these used for less than $200 easily. There are many other less common vintage .22 pumps that are nice as well but harder to find and cost just as much as a 62. The Rem model 12 is a good example, the Hi-vis is another. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process. | |||
