Friends- I recently acquired a Ruger Single Six revolver in .22 LR. What can be done to dress one up, i.e. color case harden the receiver, etc.? Slick up the action? To shoot .22 Mag's, is it as simple as purchasing an additional cylinder? Who specializes in working on these? May the wind be in your face and the sun at your back. P. Mark Stark

Usually the gun comes with the two cyclinders. And if not then it normally would require a fitted cyclinder as they are not interchangeable. My 22 mag cyclinder has the last 3 letters of the serial # of the frame carved in the cyclinder.
