Well sometime in the last couple of years bought several 525 boxes of Remington Golden Bullets. They suck.. In my Ruger pistol and 10/22 about every third bullet jams. The bullets are loose in the case. After doing a search MANY have the same issue. Pulled out some CCI just to make sure the guns are fine. Now I have a bunch of ammo to toss. Roll Eyes

As usual just my $.02

All is not lost. Find someone who shoots an old-time single shot in .22 LR and who casts his own bullets. There is a demand for primed empty LR cartridge cases. You can probably interest the same guy in salvaged powder.

6 years back, Armscorp (something like that, the company in the Philippines) offered case lots (5,000) empty primed case. They sold their entire shipment in 2 days. David Mos, the most notable maker of bullet moulds for .22 rimfire, is back in business. Spoke to him 2 days ago and ordered 2 specialist bullet moulds.

That ammunition is consistently the worst .22 fodder I've ever used. Gun manufacturers routinely turn down warranty claims when they find that the ammunition used was Remington Golden. Even when the malfunction had nothing to do with the ammunition, this trash has such a reputation that gun manufacturers get by with using it as an excuse.
