| Gold Dots are not "jacketed" but copper plated. The Velocitor bullets are also.

| You are correct! Have you tried any of them? I was thinking about the "Jacketed" Bullets in some of the 17HMR and 22MAG(RimFire) ammo which is available. Plus the high praise they get from those who use them. That caused me to wonder "Why?" they don't have any "Jacketed" available in a 22LR. Perhaps the Velocity is low enough that Expansion is a problem. If anyone manufactures any of them, let me know. |

| At 1300 FPS I don't really see any advantage in a jacketed bullet.....as a matter of fact, I'm not really sure why they even plate some!

If you have, is it a real "Jacketed" Bullet?
They are the most accurate ammo in my MK-III target pistol. The right medicine for rabbits and squirrel if you are so inclined. The mfg claims 1435fps. Guns differ, of coursse.

| I bought two boxes and got the free hat when they came out but I've never shot them. Maybe a new research project.

| They shot quite well in several handguns and several rifles of mine. It is my preferred ammo, but the Stinger is a very close second in the high velocity corral. |

| I've shot Velocitors in several of my goodies. Accuracy was adequate for my needs. Not gilt edge but certainly god enough for PD's at 50 yards or so.

| I have fired them in two Ruger 10-22T'z and a T/C bull barrel semi-auto, Ruger 77-22, Cooper 57? and Kimber Hunter/Silhouette and in every gun they shot 5 shots within an inch--as long as they were fired from sandbags.

| I've tried them on Jackrabbits , They do hit with an audible smack and they seem to knock them pretty good. They're just as dead as with HV hollow points. Nothing better then the standard HV ,IMHO, not worth the extra money.

| I have to agree with that last assessment, I'll take a CCI Mini-Mag HP anyday. Not like that are giving them away either but at least you know what you get box to box and round after round for about 4 decades now, consistancey and performance.

| Went to Glauber's in Carrollton, KY today and they had them in stock. They were $6.99/box, so I decided to get two. Only thing not in, was my billfold in my pocket. But, funny now. At least they have them and I'll be able to try them after I go back to the store. |

| I was in a small local gunshop yesterday and they were 7.50 a box! just over $4.50 a box at the bigger gun store. |
