Is there any pressure difference between HV and hiper velocity ammo? Thanks Martin Double Rifle Shooters Society member from Argentina. My doubles: .577 Snider by W.Richards. .58" ML by Pedersoli

I don't have access to the manufactures' pressure standards, but anecdotal evidence where some shooters experience sheared case rims in some autos with the hyper velocity rounds, but normal function with standard and "high velocity" ammunition, would lead one to believe that the hyper velocity ammunition is loaded to at least marginally higher pressures.

22 long, 22 Long Rifle, 22 Mag and 17M2 are all loaded to 24,000 psi Max Average Pressure SAAMI as measured by the piezo electric strain gauge method. Yes this also applies to 22 Stinger and any other rounds loaded in compliance with SAAMI standards God created man and woman. Sam Colt made them equal
