I have a CZ 452 in 17 Mach 2 that I am not impressed with at 100 yards........I know tht's stretching the effectiveness of the round but with what I get on paper, I have a 541-S Remington as well as a 581 Remington that will outshoot it at 100 yards!! I do know it prefers the Remington loads to the CCI's or the Hornady's. Remingtons smell a lot like ELEY's and both of them give the best accuracy and over the chrnograph, the most consistent readings! Remingtons and Eleys are in the 2180-2210 range consistently while the CCI's will get to 2230-2250 and the Hornady's will vary from 1870-2140!!! I put a 4.4-14 Nikon on it and that was better then the 3-9 Timberline Burris(great little scope if the accuracy was there!!)but I'm just wondering about the bedding and floating on this little rifle. My only other experience with the Mach2's has been a Marlin(years ago) and an Anchutz! That darn Anchutz would rival the 17HMR's I've messed with and never messed with one of them that wouldn't do under an inch for 5 at 100 yards!! I had it courtesy of a friend of mine who wanted to sell it and I sold it for him here. Should have scrounged around and kept it!! GHD Groundhog Devastation(GHD)

i'd sure try bedding & floating - nothing to loose and everything to gain. my cz 452 in 17 hmr really responded well to doing just that. nother interesting thin on the remmy/ely ammo. i have a magnum research 17 mach 2 auto. about every clip i get a case with a hole blown sideways with hornady/cci/almost everybody else but remmy/ely. they function perfectly. it would seem that either ely has stronger cases, or the powder they are using peaks at a longer time interval than does cci
