Went to the range Tuesday afternoon. It was perfect when I got there. Sixty degrees, bright and calm. And, I had the rimfire range all to myself and no big boomers at the bench rest range. I picked up a CZ 452 last week from a guy here on the fire. Got set up, mounted a scope and shot a few to zero. Tried 5 different brands of non-plaed ammo I had on hand. Shot at 17 yards and at 30 yds (distance the boards were set up at). Wind started coming up pretty good bout the time I was on my fourth group at 30 yds. Unusual, as the wind usually blows during the day and lays in the evening. Oh well, did get in some trigger time. Best, GWB

The CZ 452 is one of the very best bolt action sporters out there. I have had literally dozens through here, and I haven't found a bad one yet.

Well, I've had one for about 6 years and have never fired it. Bought it to develop a 2 oz trigger.

I would love to have one of those but I'm afraid of that "backwards" safety.... .

Nice rifle GWB.
It's worth getting used to in my opinion- I'm another fan of the 452s. I have a Full Stock model .22 and it is a great squirrel rifle. I think it was here where I some pics from a gunsmith who re-worked a CZ 452 safety with the arm repositioned to the left side so you pushed it forward to fire. Duane Weiebe?
