I finally shot out my TacSol barrel. When I first got it, it was tack driver (1/4in at 50yds). Accuracy has slipped off to 3/4in and so I made the decision to replace it. I decided to go with with a Volquartsen Carbon fiber bull barrel. This thing has been nothing but trouble! It hardly fits into the receiver, it is finicky about loading, worst of all it is horrible in the accuracy dept. At first I thought that it was something else with the gun. I checked the action screws, swapped out the scope and even bedded the damn thing. the best I can get is just under 1'' with CCI green tag. Most 5 shot averages are 2'' with cheep ammo. This is only slightly better then the factory barrel that it originally replaced. Groupings look more like a shotgun then a .22. I contacted Volquartsen and after sever emails, finally alluded to sending it in. Is their anything else that I might have missed?
