Have seen numbers right around 25,000 psi quoted for 40 gr. 22LR. | |||

Per SAAMI, maximum average pressure is 21K psi for .22 shorts and 24K psi for longs, long rifle, and WMRF. KenO As it was explained to me many years ago, "I feel sorry for those who think ballistics is an exact science. They just don't understand the problems." | |||
