bought one of the little winchester 63 copies made by taurus the other day. been looking around for a shooter 63 but didn't want to pay 800 or so for one. ran into the taurus at the local shop & it just leaped right into my pocket. Pretty good copy, follows the original pretty well. and get this - it has a rosewood stock. don't think winchester did that. anyway i had to drill and tap a couple holes for a scope mount cause i can't see the irons anymore. you'd think any 22 today would be set for scope, but not this one, original 63 wasn't either. so the thing had a bit of a hard trigger, but manageable and it seems to shoot into about an inch at 25 yards . fun plinker, no malfunctions with the cheap federal stuff. | ||
