The CZ 452 is my favourite bolt action hunting 22.

I have had close to 100 of them through here, and have not found a single one that did not shoot well.

In fact, I have a CZ Model 2, which I presume is the predecessor of the 452. Now the summer is coming, I might do a comprehensive shooting test with it with different ammo.

I will be going to the 50 and 100 yard outdoor range Saturday. I now have a Burris Timberline (phillipian made) 4-12 scope on the rifle. I scrounged up the following ammo.

Fed target red box
Fed target gold box
Fed target white box (older ammo)
Win T-22
Aquila eley Target blue box
Lapua blue/white box (not sure which one, I think it was $90 a sleeve)

Here's a very un-controlled test. The eley and federal were about $25 a sleeve, the Lapua was about $90 a sleeve. I can't remember how much the T-22 was.

Top row . 50yards - Win T-22
Bottom row. 50yards - Federal red box 711B

Top row . 50yards - Lapua Center-X
Bottom row. 50yards - Eley Prime (Aquila)

The next is weird and I'll try to do the test again. It looks like there was an invisible weather system down range

100yards - Win T-22

Top row . 100 yards - Federal Red box 711b
Bottom row. 100 yards - Lapua Center-X

Never go a chance to do the Eley at 100 yards.

the cz 452 is my favorite bolt action 22 also. it was the first 22 i ever owned that i could shoot and not get frustrated. but then i put a kidd barrel on my ruger 10/22....now it shoots better than the cz. of course the cz could use a new trigger(excuses, excuses.....)

I lost my target pics. I replaced the Burris Timberline 4-14 that will focus to 50ft with a Nikon Monarch 2-7x32 that will not.

I really like my CZ452 and used it off of homemade sticks along with metallic silhouette targets to practice for my Africa trip. The only thing I wish was different was that it had a rubber butt pad or the option for different stocks as I'm 6'5" and the standard stock is a bit short and slips on my shoulder.
