What about Anschütz?

I have thought of picking out a Anschütz .22 for some time now. Not sure what model yet. The open peep sight style units show up top performers at my club. Are the new ones as good as the older ones are? What makes these out shoot other rifles like my CZ455 or Stevens 416?

I would look for a model 54 Annie and they come in many variations. I don't think the quality has changed much over the years. Here is a custom fortner that my brother just had finished. It's a straight pull design that is just beautiful.
