Back in 1965 I was working part-time at our local Western Auto while in high school. My manager mentioned he had a revolver for sale so I asked to see it. Turns out it was a High Standard Sentinel 22 LR. I bought it it for $25 and kept it for quite some time. Killed many a squirrel and rabbit with it. Ended up giving it to my mother-in-law for protection on her small farm plot. Don’t know what happened to it after she passed away. Well last week I saw one just like it on GB with a “Make an Offer” option. On a whim, I plugged in $282 and two days later I was notified my offer was accepted. Just picked it up yesterday and am in the process if stripping it down and cleaning it. Checked on getting it Cerokoted, but that would add another $200 to my cost. Think I’ll just cold blue it and enjoy the memories of this “fine” old handgun.
