Bought one Friday and I'm pleased as punch. Initial reactions: 1. Appearance is wonderful if you like the 1911 A-1. A near perfect copy scaled down to 22 LR size. It is NOT a 22 LR in a full size replica: 2. The trigger is a bit hard like most over-the-counter semi auto pistols but it might lighten up after a few hundred rounds. Worst case a good smith can clean it up. There is a little take-up and then a very clean break, though. No creep at all. 3. Very accurate considering A-1 sights and the trigger. Hitting a Coke can 10 out of 10 at 20 yards was not hard. I was shooting Remington bulk ammo. It might be even better with match ammo. $. A bit expensive compared to Umarex and other full size copies (about $100 more) but the fit and finish is up to Browning specs. The slide and frame are aluminum, not cast pot metal. Take down is identical to a 45 cal 1911, barrel bushing and all. But it is a true blow-back, not a locked breech. All in all a great little gun! I bought mine at Bass Pro in Houston. They said the company only received 11 for inventory nation-wide. Maybe Gun Genie on Davidson's? "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson. | |||
