A friend's father recently passed away and a Colt Pre-Woodsman in an Audley safety holster was found in a drawer. Without the magazine. I am hopeful the magazine(s) will turn up but if not.... According a source on the web, some High Standard magazines might also fit, and would be more affordable. 1) Any sources for an authentic Colt magazine? 2) Is the above statement about some H-S magazines being compatable, true? I am now the privileged caretaker of this classic. While not a collector's piece it is going to be fun to clean up and take it to the range. Thanks, Lou

Numrich Gun Parts should have one--I got a magazine for a Huntsman from them a while back. Nice pistol you have. Don't know about the H-S mags

Norinco makes a Woodsman clone. Not sure, but might fit. Grizz Indeed, no human being has yet lived under conditions which, considering the prevailing climates of the past, can be regarded as normal. John E Pfeiffer, The Emergence of Man Those who can't skin, can hold a leg. Abraham Lincoln Only one war at a time. Abe Again.

Guys, ( I think you are all guys ) The original did turn up which is quite a relief. I will pursue the other suggestions in order to possibly get another couple. Thanks, L

Now that you have one, take care when loading it. Those old magazines had sharp edges on the top that became sharper with wear. If you were not careful when loading shells into the magazine, the sharp edges would leave 2 parallel cuts on the ball of your thumb.
