When I was a little boy my mother would always buy me a toy at the drug store after getting a shot at the Dr office provided I didnt cry. Well I went to the Dr today, didnt get a shot, but I didnt cry either! So, I decided to continue the tradition and stopped by the gun store and picked up this CZ .22. I needed another "truck gun" and I think I couldnt have made a better choice. As you can see it has an interesting piece of two tone wood and the metal fit/finish is worth way more than the price of $339+tax. Better yet, she seems to be very accurate. Took her to my range and shot a few rocks/cans etc at 20-30 yards without missing a one. Then filled a 20 oz plastic coke bottle with water and placed it at the 100 yard line, set the rear sight on the 100 yard setting, and nailed it dead center, first shot off hand using cheapo bulk federal ammo! I know thats difficult to believe but it happened! And I am an average shot at best. Further testing will tell if there was any luck involved. Here she is...

My wife had to have one of these. It's one of the funnest rifles I've ever played with.

Takes a bit of looking but CZ makes 10 round magazines for double the fun. Big Grin Big Grin

Congrats on a great new rifle!!!
I've got one of these as well and love it. Great trigger out-of-the-box and very accurate (mine is) w/Win high speed HP's. (Your mileage may vary).
Here in MI's UP, I always carry a 22 rifle when I'm in the woods for red squirrels and Porky's (have lost over $10K worth of trees to them over the past few years).
Up here a long shot it 50yds (usually up into the top of a big pine), so I put a scope designed for 22's on it. I can head-shoot red squirrels w/no problem.
I guess what I like most about the small cal. CZ's is they feel like REAL rifles. I also have a 17 Mach 2 that is actually HEAVY (you might want to consider one of these after you survive your next "booboo").
Shoot well and enjoy!!!
Mike

Mr Glass, which scope rings did you use? I would prefer a QD setup if it is available in dovetail.

I'm just using some no-name 1" dovetails. My peepers don't really permit me to shoot accurately w/irons.
I'm a stock creeper, so I had to mount the scope well forward on the receiver.
I suspect any good quality dovetail rings should work well.
Of course on the Mach2, there are no irons, so I just use a better quality ring on it and a Leupold 3x9 for greater accuracy.
Hope you find what you're looking for.
Mike

I have several of these and one in 17 HMR, the 17 HMR shoots so well that I don't even use a centerfire for prarie dogs anymore.

Back in the '30s German companies made similar rifles .Mine is a Mauser ,miniature M98,very accurate.I hadn't done anything with it for a while. I finally found extender blocks for it so I could use a scope without bending the bolt handle. It's then a heads up sighting. The blocks are made by BKL which is no longer in business. After many very positive comments about CCI SGB ammo i've decided to just use that ammo .The scope is a Leupold 2x7.
Warning to chucks - stay away !! Big Grin
