I was doing an ammo inventory of my .22 rimfire ammo. Man! I've got a ton! Eeker

My plan is to use up the old stuff first...... so my first problem was to figure out which was the oldest.

I found the Rosetta Stone for SPEER/CCI ammunition, and even some of the newer Federal products.

SPEER/CCI Manufacture Dates

The first letter is the month A thru M, January thru December, skipping I.

The second letter is the year A thru P, skipping I and O, for 1995 thru 2012.

First letter/Month:
A - January
B - February
C - March
D - April
E - May
F - June
G - July
H - August
J - September
K - October
L - November
M - December

Second letter/Year:
A - 1995
B - 1996
C - 1997
D - 1998
E - 1999
F - 2000
G - 2001
H - 2002
J - 2003
K - 2004
L - 2005
M - 2006
N - 2007
P - 2008
Q - 2009
R - 2010
S - 2011
T - 2012

Does anybody have lot numbers and dates of manufacture codes for other ammo makers? TIA!

Interesting, and thanks for passing it along.

However, not too useful to me since I don't think I have any ammunition of any type as new as 1995. Ammunition that new isn't properly "cured" yet.
