On some 22s and combo guns they have a narrower dovetail for scope, i have looked for a steel set of rings, but can only find cheap alloy mounts which i dont want .Ideally id like qd mounts [dreaming?]anyone know who might make a steel set ? its for a combo gun, Thankyou

It looks like Millett has some steel rings assuming you can get them 'down under'.

I use the Burris rings that allow you to pick which rail size; they come with two removable clamps (removable for one side of ring only). Also, some use the 13mm Leupold and actually say they fit better than Burris. I also like steel on steel...

I have Burris 1" steel rings on a Marlin 60, they've worked well.
