Walter was one of a kind.

He provided everyone around him with joy and laughter.

He shall be missed.

Saeed, I hope he passed easily. I, too, am sorry you lost such an obviously dear friend. Got a lot of smiles and laughs out of your hunting adventures in Africa over the years.

Walter has not been in great health for at least 50 years.

He has had several major heart operations.

He has been managing along with help from his son and friends.

He had a stroke a few months ago.

He has been in the hospital ever since, apparently with no brain activity.

He has been assisted in breathing.

By all indications he was just asleep.

Thank goodness no pain.

I think that is all we could wish for.

So sad to see this. My condolences to Saeed and Walter's family & friends.

Though I did not know Walter, I thoroughly enjoyed his personality, adventures and his humour. A real character. May his sould rest in peace.

I've not been on here for some time, had some health issues of my own.

None of us are getting any younger.

I didn't know Walter, but from these pages I decided he was obviously his own man.
