How many times do I need to read a new PM before the "New PM!" alert goes away?

Answer it or delete it;either will work.

I don't have anything to say right now, but maybe I want to keep it to respond later.

Anyway, every other message system can recognize when you have read something, and it didn't use to work like that.

Something has changed...

True, but it has not been to your inconvenience. No hassles + nothing new to learn; big items IMO!

It could be a cache issue.

You can go to Personal Zone
then to cookies and clear them.

Norman, thanks for your comment, but I can determine the impact of this minor issue on my life without coaching. I'm just reporting something that has broken in the system.

DRG, I cleared all the cookies which logged me out, but as soon as I log I get the same thing.

If you have access to another computer try logging in and see if you get the same new PM alert.

The system is working for everyone else (or I'd be inundated with comments).

Maybe you have an old PM that you didn't read?

I'm sure it's probably my stupid laptop. I tried rebooting and nothing changed, but it's acting weird on another website I frequent also...

FYI, there were two messages that were showing in bold like they hadn't been read yet. I deleted one and responded to the other. The one I responded to is still bold and I still have the alert.

If it's just me I can live with it. Sorry to bother you, and thanks for the suggestions.
