Don,
I am trying to re-post a lot of pictures to previous hunt reports. This is not easy and not as straightforward as I had hoped.

I have a couple of questions -

1. Is there any plans or a way to have AR host pictures that go on hunt reports or in posts?

2. Would I be better off developing a website, post hunt reports there and link them to AR hunt reports?

3. Is there an alternative to Imgur or the others that is free?

4. How does Saeed post all of the pictures he posts?

Imgur is cumbersome to use in terms of resizing pictures and the numbering of pictures. I cannot figure out how to resize multiple pictures at the same time.

Picture Trail limits uploads to 4MB or less. Nearly every modern camera takes pictures much bigger than that.

I enjoy posting reports but this is getting more difficult than I hoped.

Any help is appreciated.

There are no plans to host pictures other than Saeed's. The amount of server space is already huge and growing just from the forums. There is no need to re-invent what other companies provide.

Posting them on your own website is the most efficient in my view.

The administration of this site is done by volunteers and the minute we have to provide support for things like picture hosting the forums will suffer.

We hope you understand.

Happy 4th.

Don,
Thanks for the explanation.
If/when I do my own site, are there any restrictions or rules I need to be aware?

Thanks,
Ross

Not sure what you mean by restrictions.

Not from our end anyway, as you have all the access you need to link your photos from anywhere you host them.

Just everyone was doing before.

That is why (security) most modern forum software is set up to allow simple selection and uploading of images while the post is being written.
