Recommend-
even though AR is not an externally "searchable" site generally-

It would be a good idea (Imho) to make AR a "members only" reading site rather than a "guest reading" site

Australia's biggest guns/hunting forum is like that. However, as a non member you can read the terms and conditions etc. and I think it might even have stuff along the lines of....this contains pictures of dead animals etc. and etc.

It was done this way for legal or potential legal problems.

In short if you join then it means you have read and understand etc.

I do not like sites that require a log in to read.

And it is not going to happen here at AR.

BUT, that said we are going to charge $5 for each post in the political forum and donate it to Bernie Sanders.

Just an observation. The experience I have had with the Log-In to read sites, is that they normally have "Business Partners" that pay for the site to exist, and those individuals exert a lot of outside force concerning the content of the site, up to and including censorship to large degree = Draconian Moderation.

I would suggest that someone be required to answer a simple reloading or hunting/wildlife question to register.Once registered they would be logged on automatically.

Stop and think about this from the other side of the coin.

After all these years of openness, suddenly AR basically closes its doors.

That is going to look like we have something to hide.

I like Saeed's answer. How does one know they want to join if they cannot preview the discussions?

Seems response #4 on this thread would end any further discussion.

Brilliant..... NOT Maybe you haven't looked at all the forums on AR. I believe there are many forks that are not reloaders or hunters that participate here.

BESIDES, THE BOSS ALREADY SAID NO!!!
