Neither of you have any self control???

Is ANYONE FORCED to participate in the Crater?? NO!!!

Grenadier, we all get it! You feel that the Crater has ruined the entire AR website, well maybe it has, so why not contact each member of AR, find out how they stand on the issue and present Saeed with an ultimatum!

Either the Crater goes or all the members that agree with you goes!

Please let someone know how that works out?

Ultimatums do not work with dictators!

Ultimatums only work with silly "democracies" which do not even know what that word means!

Only thing that works here is if you do not like it, ask for your money back!

WE will gladly refund every penny you have paid, back dated to the very day you registered rotflmo

Since I have no one on ignore, I have nothing to do with YOUR problem>

But it is not my intention to be irritating, nor do I have an agenda.

I am just merely wondering why the in the world some people simply won't admit to wanting to censor other people.

Why can't members of AR simply/openly admit that if they were in charge of this place, and not just the Crater b the way, that they would clean house, and the ONLY people they would allow on here would be those that were in "Lock-Step" agreement with them on ALL issues!

Why can't people just tell the truth on here?

No one is going to believe them or think one bit more of them!

J, I am not projecting nor am I assigning anything to ANYONE, I am merely pointing out a fact!

All anyone with an open mind has to do is merely look at posts/comments made in the Crater.

The Trump supporters on here would like to see the Liberals gone and Vice versa, some Americans would like to see Non-Americans gone or unable to comment about American issues.

I thought you were an Electrical Contractor, did not realize you were also a psychiatrist or psychoanalyst?

Learn something new everyday!

I do understand why the Non-Americans on here view Americans the way they do.

So after all that help, the original question remains, is it possible to exclude some forums from the new content search feature? Saeed I appreciate the web forum you provide, have no complaints. I'd just like to be able to exclude the more ridiculous of your customers from my limited time online, and that means blocking the political posts. I don't read them in first place, but since I read this site on my smart phone it would make for a better search capability. In my opinion if we could either exclude some forums from view or pick the ones we would like to search it would be a better experience. thanks for the help.

I don't use the Find New posts on AR. I just scroll down the forum and I can see from the date/time and in addition there are only a few forums I look at such as Big Bores, Medium and Small Bores and Political. Some of the other forums I might look at once a week.

On the hand on Australia's biggest gun site I use it but it works differently as it just lists the threads as opposed to individual postings. Although sometimes I just go to the forums I usually look at.

Even if AR did not have the Political Forum I would still not use the Find New posts on AR.

Actually it continually amazes me how many people seem to have problems with AR or Australia's biggest gun site or other forums.

One word Mike, PUSSIES!!!!!!!!!!

1. No one is forced to participate or join AR, it is Voluntary!

2. No one pays ANY MEMBERSHIP DUES!!!!!

3. No one is REQUIRED to agree with ANY OTHER MEMBERS comments or opinions!

4. It is strange that No One called for ANY restrictions or censorship of the Crater from 2008 thru 2016, but 6 months into Trump's Presidency that changed.

5. It is just an Internet Forum/Bulletin Board/Chat Room, WHATEVER and has ABSOLUTELY NO bearing what so ever on REAL LIFE!!!!

Have you booked a hunt in Hohenfels for Red Deer yet?

Nope. I just finally got the paperwork back from hunt-fish to get my jagdschein. I am sitting this year's drive hunt season out.

I applied for a job in Graf and one in Spain and I need as much disposable move income as I can hold onto until we know what we are doing.

Wife is going to teach DODEA after I get smacked by the five year rule (and I have four years left), so it's not like it will be my only opportunity.

You are just jealous that your level of intelligence does not have the wide margin ours do.

Yours might go from 100-200, which is rather limited if you wish to communicate with the sort of people found around the world today.

Mine has been tested to cover the whole range, from 0-200! rotflmo

There used to be an option where if one was logged in, they could choose to see only the forums they had in their preferences, or whatever it was called.

Am I so old that this feature was in the last version of software?

Wow, a lot of folks missed the point of the OP. I has nothing to do with censorship, just a simple question about applying a search filter.

A. Don answered the original question, see bold text above.

AND

B, It is/was about censorship, Please note the second part of Don's response, also in bold above.

Don's response just reinforces my point...

The OP never asked to turn it off or block it from anybody else viewing it, he only asked if there might be a way to sort it out from his search for recent posts in the forums that interest him more.

That, my friend, is not the same thing as censorship. Censorship is blocking others. This is more like another post a little further down, asking how to screen or block junk email.

You are entitled to your opinion, I just do not agree, because as was pointed, no one seemed all that interested in blocking the Crater during Obama's time in office.

As far as the thread about blocking or screening "Junk Emails" I do not remember ever getting "Junk Emails" generated by the Accurate Reloading Forums site.

Too many folks simply do not want to admit that they actually do want to censor people like Edmond and others that are critical of Trump and America.

Every phone and a computer has a scroll function. Just keep scrolling - it's that simple! If you have to scroll a couple of extra times, then that's the price you pay for a free exchange of ideas.

It's not my opinion, I'm just reading and restating what the OP wrote. And I have no idea what the Crater is... Is that slang for the political forum?

quote:

I never said anything about the Accurate Reloading Forums site generating junk emails.

This is what I was referring to: "Junking Junk Mail?"

Maybe not the best example, but to expand my point let me ask you a question - Do you ever get junk email? If so you have four options:

1. Do nothing, just scroll past them until you get to the ones you want to read. (Don't you have any self control? No one is forcing you to read email! Are you a pussy? That's what the scroll wheel is for!)

2. Get pissed off and cancel your internet email account and never come back. (The "if you're so irritated have you considered leaving" approach...)

3. Attempt to reduce the volume of what you'd rather not see in your personal inbox by clicking "unsubscribe", or create a rule, label as junk, etc. to send it to your spam folder. However, those who would like to be informed of 50% off at Yarn World could still get those notifications! (This is essentially what the OP was asking... if there might be a way to do something like this.)

4. Try to get a law passed to prevent Yarn World to sending out any marketing material to anyone else because you don't like it. ( In other words, CENSORSHIP!)

quote:
Too many folks simply do not want to admit that they actually do want to censor people like Edmond and others that are critical of Trump and America.

That may be very true, but I don't see any words in the OP asking to block, (for others) views critical of Trump and America, or any other political posts. Just that he wanted to narrow down and refine what he views in his search for new posts. That's all. (Maybe there is a history I'm not aware of that colored some of the interpretations of Macs B's intent?)

Personally I'm with Mike M on this, I only go to the few forums that interest me, (and this generally ain't one of them!) but if my interest were broader I could see the value in being able to designate certain ones as "favorites" that you could follow without having to bother with others you may not care about. There are a wide range of options to choose from, and I respect anybody's right to sound off on the ones they choose.

Sounds like the software won't allow a selective search anyhow, so time to bury this dead horse! horse
