I can't say wich unit your friend hunts in but the last day of general season in any of the surrounding GMUs is sept 25th.

First of all, seasons vary around the state. Secondly and more importantly, if you or your friend are non-resident aliens, you must go with a registered guide. A non-resident, U.S. citizen can hunt moose without a guide but any non-resident alien must have a licensed, registered guide to hunt any/all big game.
For seasons, I'd go to the State of Ak. web site & look at seasons on the Dept'. of Fish & game. Sorry, don't have a link handy.
Also, as a side note, our season regs run July 1 - June 30. License dates are Jan.1 - Dec. 31. Go figure on the conumdrum.

Most Alaskans Hunt moose seasons are in September that is when I do not want to go outside.
