FYI: I was having trouble getting the velocity I wanted for my 300 grain TSX with RL15. I achieved outstanding accuracy at 2475fps, but I was only reaching 2525ish fps with poor groups at that speed. A friend told me to try RL17. I did it today and am pleased with the results. I'm settling on 80 grains at an average velocity of 2623fps. This gave me a .733" four shot group at 100 yards. It was a poor day for shooting groups and quite frankly I think I can do better (not that I need to). I went up to as high as 81 grains with an average velocity of 2726fps. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

BRETT
seems like a real big jump in velocity for a one grain increase in powder

Agreed. That's and the reasonable accuracy I found at 80 grains is why I'm sticking with 80 grains.
