Hi, it seems like a few years ago everyone (including myself) was posting brown bear hunting reports complete with pictures. They seem to have disappeared. Is it the fear of the social justice warriors on social media? If so that's a shame.

Regards,

Chuck

Still winter here, no bears out of the den.
On Mother's day were going camping down on the beach near here, I suppose if I see a big one I'll shoot it but I really have no interest. We're allowed spring waterfowl hunting here and that'll be my focus.

But the melting is close so I'd think any day now there'll be stories of bears digging out.

They should be plenty in a couple of months

Just measured today. 28" to 34" but going fast, just not fast enough. "Hope, Alaska"

ALASKA is a "HARD COUNTRY for OLDMEN". (But if you live it wide'ass open, balls'to the wall, the pedal floored, full throttle, it is a delightful place, to finally just sit-back and savor those memories while sipping Tequila).

Bears are dying. Western Alaska has put out some nice ones already. I flew part of south central yesterday and saw very little sign. We are a week or so behind at least it feels like. Reports from kodiak are slow as well.
