Some months ago, I bought the Hypoxico altitude training equipment. My original intent was to do the intermittent training. I ended up doing this very little due to my work/travel schedule. I built the box to use with my sleep apnea machine. I am having no trouble sleeping with this system. I have it set at about 8,300 feet. I have been using it for a couple of weeks. I guess I wondered if this really worked or not. I am now fairly certain that it does work. I have an oximeter. I have seen my O2 readings drop to as low as 83%. My girlfriend says that my breathing is definitely different, MUCH deeper. My heart rate is up as well while using the machine. For whatever reason, I seem to be warmer at night. I am leaving Friday for Alaska. I wish I had done this machine for a few more weeks. I am confident that it can help.

Larry: First off, GOOD LUCK on your hunt! Yes, I do believe Hypoxico tents/mask do make a difference and allow those that do not live at altitude to pre-condition for activities at higher altitudes. Hopefully you had enough time to make a difference. Safari James USMC DRSS
